Timothy who was born here in 2002, just has come back home and then has moved on "holidays" to England where he will attend some shows. Now he is living with Harvey and Vivi at our friend, Mrs Ruth Mochrie's home.

During our trip in England, beginning of May 05, we could see some of Stuart's puppies born last year. They have really well grown up.

LUSANJO ROCKET OF CHARLOTTOWN Well done, Rocky ! |
End of April 2004, we had the pleasure of Psychee's visit with her owner. Psychee is Parsifal's litter sister and she is a lovely bitch as you can see.

I had the great pleasure to be invited to judge the Sheffield & District Kennel Association Open Show held in the Alfreton Leisure Centre on June the 29th 2003.
20 Kings Charles were entered in 3 classes : Junior, Post Graduate and Open. All the dogs had lovely temperament and the exhibitors took my judgements very sportingly.
The results are :
| Junior : 1st : Harvey's Rivermoor Black Boris 2nd & Best Puppy : Plews' Tewhit Traditional 3rd : Hinson's Kerizma Karess |
Post Graduate : 1st & BOB : Plews' Tewhit Typhoon 2nd : Harvey's Rivermoor Timpany at Tewhit 3rd : Bott's Mistycote Phreddie Res : Hinson's Kerizma Klassical |
| Open : 1st : Harvey's Rivermoor Teasel 2nd : Plews' Tewhit Tallulah JW 3e : Bott's Mistycote Phriday Res : Martin's Tewhit Trystabella for Normanslea |

It was a very long and tiring day, but What a day !

The competition was very high in the Open classes with 12 dogs including 7 Champions in each Open class.

On September the 11th, we went to Pontoise, much nearer than Richmond the day before. 18 Charlies were entered under Mrs Custot (CH). We had a change of judge. Mrs Kurittu had too many Cavaliers : 78. As the S.C.C.'s rules don't accept more than 80 dogs per judge, Mr Metans, warned by the S.C.I.F., decided that Mrs Custot will judge all the Charlies and not only the juniors and puppies.
The dog CACIB winner being already International Champion, Parsifal who won the Reserve CACIB, will be awarded the CACIB by the FCI and then he is made up International Champion (registration applied for).
Veryan who won the Junior Class, beat her cousin, Virgile for Best Junior.
The day was very hectic because Uptown Girl decided to whelp while I was at the show. 4 puppies were born during the judgements and I had to leave quickly the showground to survey the rest of the whelping and the arrival of the 5th puppy. It is why I decided, at the end of the judgements to withdraw Ursa Major from the BOB competition as I didn't know if I would be able to come back for the group if needed. But the whelping ended very quickly and I could come back with Veryan for the Best Junior of the Day competition later in the afternoon.
What a day and what a weekend !

Veryan was placed 2nd in a huge class of 11 puppies. The weather was lovely and warm but we had to rush back to France after the Charlies judgements in order to get ready the dogs for the Pontoise show the next day. What a good thing, the Channel Tunnel and its fast way to cross the Channel !

On May 8th, we went to Baginton for the King Charles Spaniel Clubshow. 136 Kings were entered under Miss J. Pennington. The day was a mix of sunshine and rain which stopped some judgements as the ring was outside on the lawn. At this show, we could see again Vivi (Vive la Difference at Downsbank).
After the judgements, we could eat a very good cake with tasty Kings all around. That was delicious.

On Saturday, April the 30th, we went to Amiens. The weather was very sunny. 18 Kings were entered under Mr Cabon (dogs) and Mrs Metans (bitches). An English friend, Anne East, came with 2 Stuart's children entered in Junior. It was great to see them again. It was a very long day. The Charlies were judged in 2 rings. The bitches were judged first and later on in the morning, were the dogs. The dog CACIB winner being already International Champion, Tobias who won the Reserve CACIB, will be awarded the CACIB by the FCI.
We had to wait until late afternoon when all the 150 Cavaliers' jugdements were over, for the Charlie BOB to be awarded. The 2 judges agreed to award BOB to Uptown.

Sunday April the 20th, we went to the Clubshow in Orleans. I had
a lot of work with 7 Charlies and 1 Cavalier to show.
The day before, it began by 6 dogs to bath including Timothy who joined us for
this big day.
We arrived in Orleans in the rain, quickly forgotten by the grooming of all the
dogs.
The Charlies were judged by Mr Roy Davies (GB).
All begun with Stuart in Open Dog, the 1st class in the ring. He got 2nd
Excellent Res.CACS and it was the start of a very good day for us.
Four classes later, the 2 brothers, Timothy and Tobias were in the ring in the
Baby Dog Class. Timothy was placed 1st Very Promising and Tobias 3rd Very
Promising.
Then, Pearl had to be in the ring in Open Bitch. She was placed 1st Excellent
CACS and was made up French Champion on the day.
Then, Ch.CS Rhapsodie de Fondcombe, an Inded's daugther and a half-sister
toPearl competed in the Champion Bitch Class where she was placed 2nd Excellent,
her owners, Mr & Mrs Maisnier having asked me to handle her in the ring for
them.
A few classes later and Multi-Ch Lili de Melkrin, Pearl's mother was in the ring
in the Veteran Bitch Class. She was placed 1st Excellent and later in the day,
she was granted Best Veteran.
At last, it was Topaz to be due in the ring in the Baby Bitch Class and she got
a 2nd Very Promising.
Then I had to go in the Tricolour Dog Ring judged by Mrs Maryann Hogan (GB) to
show my friends, Mr & Mrs Mouquet's Cavalier, Charlottetown Alfred. He got
an Excellent and was in the final line up, but not placed.
We had to wait till late afternoon to show my Breeder's Group "de Melcourt"
including Pearl, Stuart, Timothy, Tobias et Topaz. It was granted Best
King Charles Breeder's Group.
The show ended quite late, but What A Day !
Many thanks to Mr Roy Davies for such a lovely day for us.
